In committee you develop and organize fun, educational and inspiring activities for Jong Rabo members. Company visits, workshops, networking sessions, sounding board session with Rabobank board members, sports activities, a ski trip and a research trip belong to the broad range of activities which you, together with your fellow committee members, can organize. If you have been in the FLAIRS, Research trip or Conference committee before it’s not possible to register for that committee again.

What is expected from me?

  • As a committee member we expect that you and your fellow committee members commit to making your committee a success. You will spend 2-4 hours per week on Jong Rabo on a voluntary basis.

What do I get in return?

  • The opportunity to develop yourself personally and professionally within the safe environment of Jong Rabo, work on personal learning goals and the possibility to discover and practive new skills
  • An educational and wonderful experience. It is a valuable addition to your resume and good way to show and enlarge your commitment at Rabobank as a whole

  • Promotional activities for Jong Rabo throughout the year

Does branding, promotion and social media sounds good and familiar to you? In the MarCom committee you will be “the communication expert” for one or several Jong Rabo committees. As expert on communications your main task are: helping them with advise for catching social media updates and editing copy for events on our website. Because everyone in this committee is connected to only one or two committees, you have a lot of freedom for development in above-mentioned skills. During the year we also organise many promotional activities to give our members a boost in numbers.

Panel committee

  • 3 committee members
  • 1 committee chair

The Panel committee is established to share Jong Rabo’s members opinions and visions on topics which really matter within the organisation. What do we – as young professionals – think about the new Collective Labour Agreement, sustainability or the works council? As a committee we do not organize fixed activities but instead the board of Jong Rabo has asked us for support on Jong Rabo’s key topics for this year. This does not mean that we only wait and see. We pro-actively look for relevant topics and therefore we have collected your input to see what you find interesting. We use this as our input. Currently we assembly once a month and sometimes more when needed. The coolest part of this committee is that your broaden your network, get to think about important topics and get to meet and approach relevant stakeholders. When you apply for the Panel committee you can let your voice be heard on all levels and help Jong Rabo to really make an impact!

Sounding Board Committee

  • 3 committee members
  • 1 committee chair

The Sounding Board committee is Jong Rabo’s voice among the top leaders in the bank. Think of us as a commission that loves to not only think along but also challenge the leadership on big topics such as Sustainability, Open banking, or “Growing a better world together”. We simply want to be the group that triggers the leaders’ minds through showing them what is on the minds of the young people in the bank. This way, we make a sustainable change for the better, together. As a commission, we are a very fun and driven group of people that is creative with the sessions we want to have. So safe to say, it is exactly this that you will get if you decide to join us – creativity, ambition and fun!

  • 3 committee members
  • 1 committee chair

Social Impact is a new committee with a focus on sustainability, and the impact that we as Rabobank and Jong Rabo members can make within our society. The Social Impact committee will organize 4 activities in 2020, with at least 2 volunteering activities, but we are excited to see what else this committee wants to organize!

Regional Committee North

  • 3 committee members
  • 1 committee chair

Regional committee North has a really fun atmosphere. We are all women with ambition and we reach straight for our goals. While we organise cool activities and form valuable cooperations we also laugh a lot and keep each other sharp. We do this by being critical in the choices that we make and we always do an evaluation after an activity. That way, we all learn. De nicest part about organising activities is to start at zero. Then, you will think about creative ideas like a camping trip at a farm and company visits to unique companies in the North of the Netherlands. After that, we make contact with the company or organization and with the local Rabobank office. When you know that the program is solid and you can open up registration for members and our local ambassadors it really gives you a rush! A fun and educational day where people get to meet each other and share knowledge, that is what we stand for.

Regional Committee East

  • 3 committee members
  • 1 committee chair

Regional Committee Eest is set up for members in the east of the Netherlands. In addition to your job at Rabobank, you organize various meetings together with motivated committee members. A few times a year you meet with the committee to come up with these fantastic activities and to work them out. We meet periodically, the atmosphere is always good and there is sufficient room for personal development and growth. It is a broad committee in which you have a lot of freedom. A pleasant and educational period in which you can work on personal growth in an informal atmosphere.

Regional Committee South

  • 3 committee members
  • 1 committee chair

Do you want to contribute to Jong Rabo via a fun and accessible way? Then apply for regional committee South. Since the South has only a few activities on the one hand, but is the coolest region to organize activities, your task is quite simple. From a crazy evening at soccer club NAC Breda to a visit to theme park de Efteling. But, of course, there is a lot more to see and experience in the South. We have a lot of fun together, we challenge each other and we value personal growth. Regional Committee South is the ideal opportunity to discover and develop your (hidden) talents. What are you waiting for?

Regional Committee West

  • 3 committee members
  • 1 committee chair

A day in the life of a Region West committee member

You worked all day and then another meeting with your committee, what a long day this will be! Long, because your committee meeting are never dull and never end quickly, it is far too pleasant for that. We used the first meeting to get to know each other better and to brainstorm for potential activities that we are going to organise this year. The connection between members grows quickly, so the first meeting already ends far past midnight.

Of course it’s not all just one big party; activities need to be organized as well. You do this in collaboration with colleagues from various divisions of Rabobank and it is precisely this dynamic that creates a nice range of activities. An activity concerning sustainability by means of a customer visit, a network activity by means of a Pitch & Putt workshop and a Diversity activity in collaboration with GLOBO and the GROW! Commission. And all organized in an informal setting while enjoying a snack and drink.

Apply as a committee member or committee chair for 2020!
