Pack birthday boxes at Jarige Job Foundation

Join us for a day of community spirit at the Jarige Job Foundation. For many children, a birthday with gifts, visitors, and treats at school is a given. However, this is not the case for more than 100,000 children in the Netherlands. They cannot celebrate their birthday because there is too little or even no money for it at home. On the most beautiful day of the year, these children do not receive gifts, there are no streamers and balloons, and they cannot treat their classmates and teachers at school. Out of shame, they sometimes will be reported sick to avoid the celebration. The Jarige Job Foundation believes every child deserves and birthday, and therefore help these children and their family by giving a birthday box. As cooperative impact committee and committee West we share this believe and can’t wait to pack birthday boxes. Jarige Job Foundation counts on us help to pack and send all those thousands of birthday boxes on time.

09:00 – Possibility to work at Rabobank Rotterdam

12:45 – Travel to the Van Nellefabriek (by (OV-)bike, 15 minutes from Rotterdam Centraal)

13:15 – Walk-in

13:00 – Lunch

14:00 – Introduction Jarige Job Foundation

14:30 – Packing birthday boxes

17:00 – Team photo and sharing the scores of the day

17:30 – Well-deserved drinks and bites close to the Van Nellefabriek

Practical information:

The Rabobank office (Weena 770, Rotterdam) is a right across Rotterdam Centraal Station. Lunch will be provided at the location of the activity, at the Van Nellefabriek. The location for the drinks and bites after the activity is located close to the Van Nellefabriek, so it’s only a few steps away. The first drink and the bites as well as the lunch are provided by the organizing committee. It is possible to stay for more drinks and/or dinner, at your own expenses.

 Note: Cancellation for this activity is possible via the website until June 27th. After this date, a no-show fee of €10,- applies to cover the costs. Additionally, own contribution of €5,- will not be refunded.
